MA Information Sessions

Higher Education and Student Affairs MA program

Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) MA program information sessions provide prospective students with insights and information about what it is like to be a HESA student from current students, program faculty, and assistantship supervisors. We will address questions about the application process, the academic experience of the program, assistantship experiences, and the social life and culture of the program and UConn. These info sessions are a helpful window into the HESA program experience, and an opportunity to become familiar with our community.

As always, please reach out to us via email at hesa@uconn.edu with any specific questions or for more information.

HESA Fall 2024 Application Fee Waiver Requests

Shaped by our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the University of Connecticut (UConn) Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) master's program faculty strive to encourage participation from students from differing backgrounds and experiences. We recognize that the application fee may serve as a barrier for some prospective students for admission into our program.

The HESA faculty are able to offer a small number of application fee waivers to prospective applicants who intend to apply to our program by the December 1, 2024 deadline. To be eligible for a fee waiver, individuals must attend a HESA virtual information session in September or October 2024 (see above) and submit this form by Friday, November 1, 2024. Requests will be evaluated based on a prospective applicant's financial barriers and their commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.

Fee waiver recipients will be notified by November 20, 2024.
